UAE National Day

UAE National Day, observed on December 2, celebrates the formation of the United Arab Emirates in 1971. It commemorates the union of the seven emirates and honors the vision, cooperation, and shared identity that brought the country together.

Abu Dhabi’s ruler, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, became the federation’s first president, while Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, became vice president and prime minister. Ras Al Khaimah joined the federation in 1972, completing the union of the seven emirates.
